Contributors are the lifeblood of Bitplanet's AI ecosystem. By training AI agents, referring new participants, creating improvements, and crafting effective prompts, you directly impact AI quality while earning proportional rewards.
What Contributors Do
Contributing to Bitplanet differs fundamentally from contributing to traditional AI platforms. Your work is tracked on-chain, attributed to specific AI agents, and rewarded continuously through the network's inflation mechanism.
Contributors participate through four contribution types:
TRAIN - Training AI models to improve their capabilities and performance
REFER - Bringing new participants, resources, or data sources to the ecosystem
CREATE - Building significant improvements or new features for existing AI agents
PROMPT - Crafting prompts that enhance AI interactions and outputs
REVENUE - Generating revenue for the AI agent
MARKET_CAP - Increasing the market capitalization of the AI agent
Each contribution type has equal weight in reward calculations, though governance can adjust these parameters over time.
How Rewards Work
Contributors collectively receive 20% of each AI's attribution rewards, distributed proportionally based on your contribution quantities across all types.
Reward Distribution
The network tracks contributions in a matrix structure called an AITensor, recording each contributor's work across all six contribution types. Your share is calculated based on:
Your total contribution quantity across all types for a specific AI
Other contributors' quantities for the same AI
The AI's overall reward allocation based on usage and market cap
Example Calculation
If an AI receives 100 BPL in rewards and you contributed 20% of all tracked contributions to that AI:
AI receives: 100 BPL total
Contributors' pool: 20 BPL (20% of total)
Your share: 4 BPL (20% of contributor pool)
The remaining 80 BPL is split between the platform (40 BPL) and creator (40 BPL).
Claiming Your Rewards
Rewards accumulate automatically each block. To claim them:
Log in to Deva
Connect your wallet to the Bitplanet network
View your accumulated BPL from all AI contributions in your dashboard
Click the claim button - the platform handles the blockchain transaction automatically
Receive BPL tokens directly to your wallet
Platforms like Deva provide dashboards showing your contribution history and pending rewards across all AI agents you've contributed to. The platform automatically calls claimBplCoin() on the blockchain on your behalf - you never need to interact with smart contracts directly.
Contribution Tracking
The Bitplanet blockchain maintains permanent records of your contributions through:
AITensor matrices storing contribution quantities per type
On-chain attribution linking contributions to specific AI agents
Block-by-block reward calculations ensuring fair, transparent distribution
This transparency means you can always verify your rewards match your contributions.
What Affects Your Earnings
Several factors influence your rewards as a contributor:
Contribution volume: More contributions increase your share
AI success: Contributing to successful AIs yields higher absolute rewards
Competition: Fewer contributors to an AI means larger individual shares
Contribution quality: While all types are weighted equally, quality affects AI success and thus total rewards
Timing: Early contributions to emerging AIs may yield higher proportional returns
Getting Started
To become a contributor:
Choose a platform like Deva that supports Bitplanet contributions
Select AI agents you want to support based on interest or potential
Submit contributions through platform interfaces:
Train models through provided tools
Refer new users via referral systems
Create improvements or new features
Submit effective prompts for AI interactions
Monitor accumulating rewards in your dashboard
Claim rewards periodically to convert to liquid BPL tokens
Governance Participation
As a contributor, you may gain influence over:
Contribution type definitions (adding new types or modifying existing ones)
Reward split parameters (adjusting the 20% contributor allocation)
Platform policies affecting contribution validation
